Duration: 2 hours
Price: 200 € (incl. VAT)
Coffee or lunch: at your own expense
This relaxed walking tour offers a warm, down-to-earth introduction to everyday life, small businesses and local flavours in Mäntyharju.
We meet near the market square — a lively and social meeting place, especially during the summer. In the warmer months, we explore the market stalls and meet local food producers, discovering seasonal flavours and small-scale Finnish craftsmanship. Your local guide shares stories about village life, local entrepreneurs and how everyday life unfolds in a small Finnish community.
Depending on your preference, we enjoy a traditional Finnish home-style buffet lunch or stop for coffee and pastries, including classic Finnish baking such as the cinnamon bun (korvapuusti).
The walk also includes a visit to Reissukirppis, a diverse and much-loved flea market filled with Finnish vintage treasures, everyday objects and unexpected modern finds.
During the summer season, we may also visit a beautiful historic granary building, home to a charming shop and café — a local favourite that combines history, atmosphere and small delights.
If you wish, there is time to pick up local food souvenirs, such as sea buckthorn juice, berry products, sparkling drinks, dried berries, jams or honey from local supermarkets produced by nearby farms like Vierulan tila — simple, meaningful gifts to take home.
